Zachary Creed Oakville
Zachary Creed Oakville's Bio:
Oakville’s Zack Creed has two passions: playing golf and teaching the sport to others.
Zack studied Professional Golf Management (PGM) and recreation management at The University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV). During this time, he perfected his game through a number of PGA internships at La Costa Resort (Carlsbad, CA), Grayhawk Golf Club (Scottsdale, AZ), N.J. National Golf Club (Somerset, NJ) and Crooked Stick Golf Club (Carmel, IN). While studying Professional Golf Management (PGM) and recreation management at The University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), Zack was named 2009 Player of the Year.
After graduation, Zack Creed worked at Crooked Stick Golf Club as an Assistant Golf Professional from 2009 to 2012. In this position, he organized an Advanced Junior Golf Program for high school and college golfers as well as aspiring professionals. He also frequently played with celebrities, politicians, and professional athletes. One highlight of his time at Crooked Stick was serving as a tournament liaison for the U.S. Senior Open Championship in 2011 and for the 2012 BMW (Fedex playoff).
From 2012 to 2013, Zack worked at The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers, Indiana, where he served as the Assistant Pro and was the acting Head Pro for four months.
During his time in Indiana, Zack qualified for and played in the 2012 and 2013 Indiana Open tournaments. While working as the co-first assistant professional at the Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis in 2014, he was a finalist for Indiana Club Professional of the Year.
Over the course of 10 years, Zack Creed worked as a seasonal employee, allowing him to work and play on some of Florida’s best golf courses, including The Polo Club in Boca Raton, Jupiter Hills, and Old Palm Golf.
Wanting to branch out beyond playing and teaching golf, in 2015, Zack began working in Sales & Marketing for Midas Event Supply in Ontario, California. In addition to trade show sales to club managers, he was in charge of evaluating Midas’s expansion of golf products into the Canadian market. In his first six months on the job, Zack exceeded over $100,000 in new sales.
Zack has volunteered at numerous PGA tournaments throughout his career, including Par for the Cure, which raises funds for breast cancer research, for four years.
After first being elected into the PGA in 2010, Zack is exploring a return to active status in Canada.
